My name is Lauren Kimball and I am a free-lance character animator, storyboard artist, and character designer who enjoys 3D modeling, editing, and dabbling in web design. I graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with a double major in traditional and 3D animation. As a free-lance artist I've worked on a myriad of projects for different clients & companies, but my passion lies in story telling and producing my own short films.
From 2008 till 2010 I was the company animator/editor for Film-It Productions in Colorado where I worked on various commercial ventures and film productions including, "Dandy Kids" and, "Making Burros Fly." From late 2010 until recent I worked as a flash animator & designer for ADA Sport creating one of the pilot episodes to a new animated series yet to be released.
In 2009 my animated short, "Perchance to Dream" made it's rounds through the film festival circut. "Perchance to Dream" has participated in over 20 film festivals winning a total of 7 awards, 2 international. In April 2012 I plan to release my next animated short title, "Never Again."
